It has got thin green stems which are topped by shiny green leaves. The flowers are long with narrow petals and have hair-like yellowish stamens. It produces edible nuts that taste like a peanut.

Sunlight – It prefers indirect bright light and can do well in low light. Direct sunlight can cause discoloration of the foliage.

Soil – Well-drained potting mix containing peat moss and perlite.

Water – Water in such a way that the deeper soil remains moist. Water them every week and ensure that the surface of the soil is dry before watering.

Temperature – They are tropical plants and require warm temperature.

Humidity – Moderate to High. Create humid conditions by filling the pot tray with water.

Propagation – Propagated both by seeds and stem cuttings.
